The Unknown Pastiliere Fig variety was first introduced at the California Rare Fruit Growers San Diego plant sale in 2005 by a person who did not know the variety name. It produces figs that look similar to the Pastiliere fig variety, so it was called Unknown Pastiliere. Unknown Pastiliere has been described as a top tier fig by several fig growers. This fig variety is thought to be a Smyrna type fig that requires the fig wasp pollination to produce ripe figs. Since we are in a location with the fig wasps, we can not confirm whether or not this fig variety will produce ripe figs without fig wasp pollination. This listing is for 2 cuttings, suitable for rooting or grafting. Fig trees are easy to grow from cuttings.
